Lisa Pivec shared Cherokee Nation’s journey to build public health infrastructure using a tribal sovereignty lens as a foundation. She addressed the complexities and challenges of garnering support at various levels within tribal government. Ms. Pivec also discussed future plans and hopes for not just the Cherokee Nation but all tribal governments both nationally and internationally.
