We are excited to share Seven Direction’s latest work, “Tailoring Opioid Overdose Prevention Efforts for Diverse Groups within Tribal and Urban Indian Settings." This toolkit has been developed to provide inclusive resources and highlight gaps and needs for AIAN LGBTQ2S communities, youth, elders and/or veterans.
Dr. Danielle Eakins (Research Scientist/Clinical Psychologist, Seven Directions) will present on Indigenous Intersectionality and provide screening, prevention, treatment and recovery considerations for diverse AIAN groups. Dr. Matthew Town (Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma), Assistant Professor of Social Work, Portland State University) will provide expert insight on AIAN LGBTQ2S risk and resiliency factors. Clients, caregivers, providers, and funders may benefit from this Gathering Grounds presentation and community of practice discussion on supporting opioid overdose prevention efforts.
